When famous pop star and gay rights activist Willard visits the gorillas in Rwanda, American teenager Danny foils a homophobic assassination attempt by, unfortunately, getting in the way of the bullets. This could be karma, because Danny had nearly killed Willard himself by giving the allergic star the wrong kind of muffin. Meanwhile, Willard’s adopted daughter, Naomi, maneuvers Danny and his twin brother Tim into helping her search for her birth family in rebel-infested and extremely dangerous Eastern Congo.  With Willard’s concert coming up and his enemies still after him, Tim and Danny could find themselves squarely in the killer’s crosshairs.  Among the eccentric characters in Willard’s entourage, the boys need to figure out who’s a target, who’s a threat, and who’s a liar.
